The D35 motorway is growing. This is what the section near Svitavy looks like in a drone shot

The construction of the new, 11.5 kilometer long D35 highway section between Janov and Opatovec began last May and June. This section includes 20 bridges and one level crossing. The opening is planned for the end of 2025. The motorway near Svitavok will then continue with the construction of two sections around Moravská Třebová, connecting the D35 to the motorway already built near Mohelnice. These stages will be carried out by a private company in the framework of a PPP (public-private partnership) model. Construction work is expected to start in 2026 at the earliest. The construction progress can be seen in the video below, which was made in May 2024.
