Fatal accident on the highway: A 39-year-old driver was killed in a collision with a truck

MALACKY / The highway that connects the Czech Republic and Slovakia is considered one of the most dangerous sections, especially during peak traffic periods. Unfortunately, fatal accidents often occur on this section. Such a tragedy also happened on October 1, Tuesday. The serious accident that occurred in the morning limited traffic on the D2 highway from Malacky to Bratislava. For reasons that have not yet been clarified, a car collided with a truck around three quarters of a week ago. The rescue units arrived at the scene in a short time. The driver of the passenger car died as a result of the accident. "The operator of emergency number 155 quickly sent medical help to the scene. The 39-year-old man unfortunately died on the spot due to his injuries," informed Petra Klimešová, the spokesperson of the Operations Center of the Slovak Ambulance Service.
